Arlington, Texas Dentist -- Dr. Joseph Reed and His Prolific Dental Team Are Impacting The World Around Them As They Care For Even The Newest Customer’s Like Family

Advertorial

As Seen on CNN iReport

Around the globe there are business owners making big claims to having great customer service –though many verbally deliver the statement however backing that declaration with actions is another story.

Today we are honored to interview Doctor Joseph Reed the owner and chief dentist of ‘Arlington Dental’ located in Arlington, Texas (USA).

Without further hesitation here is Dr. Reed:

"Many ask which form of dentistry I enjoy most and to this question I can honestly reply that I thoroughly enjoy all phases of General Dentistry, training and learning new procedures such as Cerec One Visit Crowns, and restoring complex implant cases.

In 1994 after graduating from Temple Dental School and then achieving the status of ‘Master of the Academy of General Dentistry’ I set out to use my passion for dentistry by working in the dental field on the East Cost of the United States for many years.

Since then I have relocate to Arlington, Texas as I continue my constant pursuit of helping those with dental issues feel and look their best via our dental office ‘Arlington Dental.’

Arlington Dental participates with most dental insurance plans and we strive to make dental care easy and affordable.

Fact is what our customers share about Arlington Dental gives us a greater sense of purpose with what and how we care for each patient such as this review from Pam Phelan where she stated:

‘I absolutely fell in love with the staff here. As soon as I walked in I was treated like a long time patient. I felt very comfortable since I’m such a nervous patient. The staff was kind and explained what they were doing before they did anything.

Dr. Reed was very thorough and explained what he wanted for me and my dental health.

Dr. Reed answered all my questions and I’m so happy I found my new dentist!’

or this one….

‘Very Professional and helpful, Both times in chair, I was comfortable and felt the dentist and staff did everything they could to help fix my issues and set a plan to move forward to getting me back on track with my dental hygiene.

The office staff was helpful in working with me on finding financing for future procedures. Very Friendly and caring.’ - Curt McCrummen

Wow!! Stories like those and a plethora of other like them are humbling to read and gratifying at the same time.

Also, since I have successfully completed extensive training in dental implants we now offer this as a much sought after service.

When we you get dental implants from us -- we insert full sized dental implants because I truly believe these are the best, most conservative and time tested method of replacing missing teeth.” said, Dr. Joseph Reed, owner and chief dentist of ‘Arlington Dental’ located in Arlington, Texas (USA).

Note: Dr. Reed has trained with Oral Sugeon Arun Garg, DDS at NYU and completed the Surgical and Prosthodontic Continuum offered by Dr. Carl Misch and the Misch International Implant Institute.

He continues to study his profession in an effort to provide you with the best modern dental care.

I am an Art person

I grew up in a surrounding whereby emphasis is always given to Maths and Science rather than language and art. I study language for my degree and I know that my fate with Maths and Science has came to an end. The facts and numbers which used to be on my fingertips slowly faded as time passed. On the other hand, my passion and curiosity towards art grow tremendously.

Though I came from a pure science class background and scored quite excellently in SPM for the Maths and Science subjects, I believed those were contributions of hard work. My real talent and interest source come from the arts. I have the interest and passion but I know I'm still not too good in certain aspects. And this is why, I need to work hard along the journey of learning.

I love playing the piano. It makes me feel like a graceful person. Haha - Everybody has a reason for doing something and I'm no different from you. I am glad to be able to join the band in my university. Although I am not as proficient as the rest of them, I still learnt something along the way. They were precious lessons. I learnt about chords which I did not have much knowledge about them previously. Then, I set a goal for myself. I wanted to compose a melody of my own. With the recent bought piano at home, I actually composed a few songs of my own. They are not really professional pieces but then I think they are great enough for I made them out based on listening. I have no knowledge on music composition theory. In fact, I have composed a few songs. Also, I experienced co-working with 2 talented friends by writing the lyrics and them creating the melody. It's really a cool experience. On my own now, I'm still working towards improving my piano playing skill. Not to forget, I managed to perform the song A Thousand Years with my student who is the guitarist on Teacher's Day. It is an achievement as well as a dream for me.

Next, I love drawing. However, I have accepted the ugly truth that my hand cannot draw a beautiful picture on its own using the pencil. I am glad that I have the eyes of a designer though. Despite the fact that I cannot draw, I am good with colours selection. Therefore, I indulged into digital drawing for commercials and I excel in this field. With years of experience using Photoshop, I do think I am a proficient user. I can create wonderful graphics using Photoshop. Maybe one day, I will try to learn how to draw using my hand with the pencil.

Cooking is my passion and favourite of all hobbies. It all started with cooking and I am currently in a delirious mood with baking. I am totally obsessed with it and can't wait to try all different kinds of baking goodies. I do think I have some talent in this field. I faced several failures in the past which ended up killing my interest in baking. It took away my guts to even touch the oven. However, things changed one surprising day when I decided to challenge myself to bake the chiffon cupcakes. They turned out great and from there, I started to bake confidently. I became better and better. I used to bake cakes that tasted super-duper sweet like hell and cracked like moon's surface. Creaming and frosting a cake are tough jobs for me. However, I'm so happy to say that I have successfully baked a frosted birthday cake which is presentable for my brother. I also made difficult croissants. What made me proud the most is that I learn all these without a tutor. Just like learning Photoshop, I have it all done by myself - by being extra hardworking to learn from the Internet.

I guess the next thing in life which I'd like to try to learn is sewing. I have always hated sewing. I feel that it is the hardest art of all. I have no patience and I dislike the pain caused by the needle accidentally pricking into my finger. It happens so frequently whenever I try to mend my clothes. Argh - Also, I never sew anything by myself before - as in a full project like sewing a skirt or sewing a shirt. I studied ERT sewing when I was in secondary but none of the projects were done by myself. I gave them to a tailor and used money to get an A for my project. Recently, I'm quite excited to see some tutorials on how to sew a jacket. Therefore, I am kind of motivated to learn how to sew one by myself. This inspiration came from the depression caused by failure to discover the suitable blazer elsewhere. It will be difficult because I don't have a sewing machine at home. However, if I'm patient enough, I think this dream will come true. So, this could be one of my semester break projects later on.

CAPPEC’s PACE CHARGER TWIN NS-CC44

CAPPEC’s PACE CHARGER TRIO NS-CC51

All in all, I personally think the trio pace car charger is recommendable for its price and features. Most of us own at least one smart phone. Some have two. So, this charger can be used to charge two simultaneously together. Also, it is always good to have a spare USB port where you can borrow your friends who hop onto your car with a dying battery. Do him/her a kind deed by lending your an extra USB port. He/She will be grateful to you.

Match 2 - Crazy 2048 Game

Advertorial

Puzzle games are addictive because of its “continuous” nature. In my case, I really love to play puzzle games compared to games which end just right there and then. I like games which requires player to go from one level to the next level. It simply gives the feeling of motivation to break each level to go to a higher level. In this way, it sustains my interest in the game and gets really addicted about it.

The typical puzzle games which I believe many have played before are ZUMA, Candy Crush and Unblock Me. These are the prominent mobile apps which work on puzzle basis. I used to be a real lunatic fan of ZUMA and Candy Crush until I told myself to give it a pause due to over busy schedule.

After stopping for some time, I get bored with the games. I decided to look out for a new puzzle game which is as exciting as those I used to play in the past. Then, I found Match 2 Crazy 2048 Game. In short, you call it Match 2.

More information about Match Two
  • A new addictive puzzle game.
  • Released on 20 May 2014 on Google Play.
  • Owned by Arkavis Siam Co.
  • Like many other current apps, this allows you to record your high score and challenge your Facebook friends.
  • Consists of various animal set such as cats, dogs, monkeys, elephants or the infamous squids.
  • Gains 4.9 out of 5 rating from 175 players on Google Play.

How To Play:
Swipe identical animal-tiles to join them, they will merge to become a new one. Your goal is to merge the last animal in a tile-set. Once you hit the last animal in a set, a new animal set is unlocked for higher difficulty and more variety.

I have just downloaded this mobile app on my Sony Xperia ZL. This is an Android app. The graphics and colours are appealing. This game is especially suitable for people who love animals. It’s a casual game which you can play at any time and anywhere with your device. It helps to occupy your time while waiting for something/someone to arrive.

Not only that, parents can actually use this app to educate their young children about various animals. Or, they can even introduce the idea of cloning to them using this app. Though it doesn’t really apply the cloning concept exactly here, somehow it gives the similar product – combine cat, make new cat. New cats have moustache – this can be used to educate the idea of genetic engineering too. This is not only fun but also a useful and interesting teaching aid for parents. I will definitely recommend this for friends who have young children about to enter kindergarten.

What are you still waiting? Get the Match Two app today and start playing! I am sure you will enjoy it as much as I do.

Ambitions vs Reality

To be a teacher is challenging and it has never really appeared in the top 3 list of ambitions. When I think back, I used to dream to be a...

Artist.. who paints.

I used to like drawing and painting. However, I think I am never really good at it. I have never gotten an A in my Art class. No matter how beautiful I think I have drawn, the teacher always gives me B. That disappointed me and made me realized my limited talent in drawing.

I used to think of being a...

lawyer.. who later can be a judge.

I used to think I'm good in defending. When I was still a child, dreaming to be a lawyer started from TV series. HK TV series. Comparing the characteristics of a lawyer to my own, I thought I have the potential to be one in the future. This dream did not stay long in my list either as I soon learned that I was not really that good in bickering. I often lose in the fight.

Like many young children, I am educated in such a way people always tell me 'doctor' is a great ambition. You must be smart in order to be one. Well, following the bandwagon, I aimed to be a...

doctor... who needs to excel in academics.

This ambition goes dead soon when I reach Form 4. I am from the pure science class taking Biology as one of my SPM subjects. It is great to learn about Biology but it will not be part of what I want to do in the future. I don't think I really like this memorization required and risk-taking job.

As I was busy preparing for SPM, I hardly had time to think about ambitions. My only aim at that time was to score excellent results. I worked hard towards my goal and unfortunately, I still missed 1 A to achieve a string of As. It was a disappointment to me because the subject that pulled me down was EST, a subject which I had always gotten A easily. Moving back to the topic - ambition. When I finished SPM, I received the offer letter to be a teacher. Without thinking too much, I decided to leave Form 6 to join the programme.

Though I know I will soon be a teacher once I graduated, I still dream of becoming something else. For example... I wish to be a...

Housewife. Yes. No kidding.

I think it is great to be a housewife. It is a job which I think I enjoy doing. No risk. No scoldings from boss. No restricted time. Working at home is a bliss to me.

Working mother at home - aha - ultimate dream

I used to have this part-time job using my lappy. Therefore, I have the privilege of earning without going out to work under somebody. It was great and I like this kind of life.

Apparently, it is also because becoming a housewife at home, I can also do what I like to do the most during my leisure time - baking. This can be my second part-time job and it is also my hobby.

However, dreams always remain as dreams. I have to wake up to face reality. Being a teacher will surely be part of my life but I do hope that one day, I can make my dreams come true. Till now, I still think I love to be a housewife/baker/working-mom more.

Being a trainee teacher at SMK Pokok Sena does affect my passion and enthusiasm in becoming a teacher. I tried very hard to be a highly-motivated and enthusiastic teacher. I had fun with the Form 5 students who were willing to spend time after school (although they are currently having exams) for the performance I'm about to put on on Teacher's Day. I'm thankful that they are part of my practicum memories as their existence increases my positive attitude towards teaching. I was a little demotivated previously due to some reasons.. However, I'm glad that they are here to make me stronger to go on with the leftover 1 month practicum. Though I have to stay back and practise during my free periods, I think all these effort is worth it. Some people may not agree as they might think that I am just wasting my time for the sake of whatever-you-name-it. To me, this performance will be a remarkable one and it will be remembered always.

CAPPEC - The new Bluetooth thermometer

Advertorial

Are you a BBQ do-it-yourself lover? Some people are very particular with the results of their BBQ products but some just couldn’t be bothered as long as they are still edible. For those who emphasize a lot on how cooked the meat is, you probably need to own a BBQ thermometer yourself. If you haven’t got one, this is the reason why you’re reading this post. I’ll be writing about the newest product; a wireless thermometer with the new Bluetooth (4.0) technology.

Before that, have you heard of CAPPEC? The thermometer is owned by this company. Here’s a little background information about CAPPEC. It was first launched in April 2014 on Amazon.com. It is a young and dynamic consumer electronic brand, established in 2013. It focuses most of its resources on designing and developing user-friendly and state-of-the-art products. Besides Bluetooth BBQ Thermometer, they also sell Wireless Kitchen Thermometer, Oven Thermometer, Barbecue Thermometer, Cordless Thermometer, Bluetooth Oven Thermometer, CAPPEC, CAPPEC BBQ Thermometer.

Let us talk more about their latest product – Bluetooth Thermometer by CAPPEC.

This product works in a wireless condition with the new Bluetooth (4.0) technology. It doesn’t require a receiver unit, since it connects directly to your Android or Apple device. How convenient! You do not have to go to the thermometer itself to do the settings and tedious steps.

What’s more? CAPPEC provides its users a free app that can be programmed to the meat and the desired doneness of meat. Wow! Incredible function! It simply makes things so much easier and convenient for the next use. Not only that, the great thing about the thermometer is that CAPPEC includes two highly accurate Japanese sensor probes, so one can keep track on both steaks on your BBQ at the same time. This is really amazing! I am impressed. How about you?

Here are some highlighted functions of the product I’m reviewing:
  • -          Choose your meats from Beef to Lamb to Fish
  • -          Chose from Raw to Well-done
  • -          Select the USDA standard or Gourmet standard
  • -          Set reminders when to turn or marinate your roast.
  • -          Get an estimate when your meat is ready
  • -          Splash proofed (IPX4)
  • -          See a real-time graph of your cooks.
  • -          Check your last roasts/BBQs.
  • -          Switch between units C to F.
  • -          Keep track of two steaks at the same time

And here’s a quick sneak-peak of the product details:
·         Product Dimensions: 2.6 x 0.9 x 2.6 inches ; 3 ounces
·         Origin: Imported (China)
·         ASIN: B00I3BUSHS
·         Item model number: NS-BTH01
·         Batteries 3 AAA batteries required.

My first impression on the outlook of this product is, “wow, pretty cool and modern looking”. It does not look too conventional and outdated with its design. It is definitely a trendy gadget that promises its usefulness when you need it to measure the temperature of your food. With many other competitors outside selling the similar products, CAPPEC strives to give its best for their consumers by keeping the value of money appropriate and reasonable. Get one for yourself today from http://www.amazon.com/Cappecs-Bluetooth-Wireless-BBQ-Thermometer/dp/B00I3BUSHS/ref=aag_m_pw_dp?ie=UTF8&m=A2822PSSZAUD39 for only $64.95. You save $5.04 (7%).

Not using this for yourself but intend to give it away to somebody as a perfect gift for a special occasion? You can certainly use this as a perfect gift for your friend as the gift-wrap service is available.

YES broadband review + recent update of my practicum life

I wanted to blog about YES broadband since a long time ago. However, I did not have the time to do so. Practicum has kept me very busy for several weeks continuously. I rarely have time to blog nor to continue my part-time job. The only free time I have falls on weekends.

I don't want to waste too much time writing too long about my frustration towards YES broadband. I will keep everything short and compact. All these while, I have been using Celcom broadband. I decided to change to YES simply because I heard juniors saying YES has better connectivity at Jitra. So, I decided to give it a try. I was totally freaked out at the pace of YES data depletion. I only go on Facebook like 2 hours maximum a day for 2 weeks plus and I was told that I have finished up the given 4GB quota bandwidth. The speed of my broadband went down to the drain and everything performed like tortoise speed. You simply can't get any annoyed than waiting for the page to load for forever. I couldn't deny that its speed is fast when the bandwidth is not exceeded. However, seeing that its depletion pace is so fast, I wouldn't really say YES is a good choice of broadband service for anyone who goes Facebook quite regularly. Fyi, I didn't even watch any video throughout that 2 - 3 weeks time.

At the SPM Bestari Camp - Pantai Merdeka.
Self-posing with a DSLR

I have been really very busy with teaching life. Sleeping early and sometimes late but always getting up early. Lacking of sleep, sun burnt and emotions sway due to various incidents throughout the process. I have finished 11 weeks so far and the week 12 is about to begin tomorrow. Time flies pretty fast. My practicum will come to an end on June 26. I still have like 5 weeks more to go.

I learnt a lot throughout the process of becoming a teacher. There were good and bad encounters. Some made me smiled cheerfully but some made me boiled. It is challenging to be a teacher because a teacher does more than teaching. Of course, I'm referring to a good and responsible teacher who works proactively for his/her students to strive for the best. It is always easy to be a lousy teacher by letting go your commitments and do nothing that is good for your students. On the other hand, it requires a lot of patience, understanding, forgiving heart and wisdom to be a dedicated teacher who sacrifices for students.

These students are my first batch of students. They may forget me one day and I might forget them too - but they will always remain as my best memories. Some of them are really adorable. Teacher hearts you all.

High Voltage creator - Christopher Carter may soon have the keen attention of comic book notables such as Stan Lee

As Seen on CNN's iReport

High Voltage creator - Christopher Carter may soon have the keen attention of comic book notables such as Stan Lee

What do Sahara, Thor, Wire, Spider-Man, Shield City, Iron Man, Toy Maker and High Voltage have in common? Two names:

1) Stan Lee

2) Christopher Carter

As super hero enthusiasts we are absolutely thrilled today to have as our guest for this CNN iReport interview none other than prolific comic book writer and character producer Christopher Carter

Unlike the majority of active college students Mr. Carter is far from the ‘norm’ – in his words not ours.

Currently he is merely twenty three years of age, not only is Christopher working a ‘9-5’ job and spending gruelling hours studying as he attends college with his sights set on evolving into a professional in the radio, television and film industry, but he also has an entire cartoon and comic series in fully development.

His fresh website www.HighVoltageVault.info offers special insider information that has not been spoken on other High Voltage sources.

Without further delay here now is Christopher Carter:

“What can I say about myself? Well, I’m a giant nerd. When I was a kid (we are talking about the 90s here… yes… I am old), I was a major gamer and cartoon enthusiast.

Growing up, I was consistently reading books, playing video games, watching TV and reading comic books. Being exposed to all these different types of media had a big influence on my imagination and the way I saw the world.

Now that I am twenty three, I do not have ample time to sit down and read a good book, play video games or watch a lot of television… but my fascination with the arts has inspired me to create my own comic book / strip series known as ‘High Voltage’ -- I have been working diligently on this series since late 2010.

When I first started creating the concept for High Voltage, I did it for the sheer fun of it. I love writing, being imaginative, and creating new worlds.

Developing this was just something I did during my spare time. When I entered college it was time to decide what I wanted out of my life, I looked at my series and thought that I could make something big out of it.

It became my goal to turn High Voltage into something amazing.

Determined to make my goal a reality, I began putting my idea for this series into action. My bull-dog tenacity allowed me create countless episodes, create concepts for each character, develop all of their personalities and gave them unique powers to work with and drive the story.

With all this under my belt, I then looked for artists who could help uplift my vision even higher by putting my ideas into drawings and animations.

Today, because of all of this hard work, High Voltage has gained magnetic fans and is quickly becoming notoriously popular and I am so humble and very grateful that Shield City and High Voltage now has admirers all over the world.

My goal with High Voltage is to take this concept to television but I do not want High Voltage to be just another cartoon.

My passion is to see High Voltage become a cartoon series that speaks to diverse people in various backgrounds. When people watch High Voltage, I want them to instantly relate to the characters on an emotional level.

Fact is, High Voltage has the potential to be a series that people can learn from and one that addresses social issues people deal with today, while maintaining a fun and action-packed atmosphere.

The key purpose of High Voltage is not only to create a fun and action-packed superhero series. The ultimate goal of this series is also to create a something that is relatable, touches people and leaves fans thirsting for more.

As you know, the entertainment industry is a tough industry to get into however like many jobs in the professional world, having a lot of connections can help one move ahead faster than a young cheetah racing an old turtle.

With that being said… the biggest challenge for this series is attempting to grab the undivided attention of the ‘right’ people.

While High Voltage has met much success with people all over the world, rejections from people working within the industry, I found, is common.
Even though I know my series has all the potential in the world, there are some people who do not always see what I see (on the outside looking in).

If I could take a time capsule back in time to when comic book creator Stan Lee was first introducing his characters it would be no surprise to me that he too met ‘brick walls’ but his perseverance is now a plethora of fruit bearing trees.

While rejection is inevitable, I find that it is very imperative to keep moving forward (something I continuously stress through my characters and their actions). Even though one person may not find much value in High Voltage, I know that there is someone out there that will see the value in this series and will see that High Voltage can be a big hit. With a team of seasoned animators and writers, I believe that High Voltage can make it on television and go even further than what it now is.

When I see cartoons today, I feel that it has changed quite a bit from when I was a child. Ha… wow… I feel old when I say that!

I feel like cartoons today mainly focus on comedy to drive the plot. When watching cartoons nowadays, many shows are more comedic and typically aimed at the younger audience (although this does not stop ‘older’ people from watching these cartoons… like myself).

With High Voltage, the series itself is more action and character driven. High Voltage deals a lot with character development, which allows the characters to mature and change as the story progresses.

While High Voltage does contain characters that are used as comedic devices, each episode is just a smaller story inside of a much larger story.

Each episode leads to a stunning season finale that pieces everything together, and each season finale features a main antagonist. High Voltage is a fun story with action, humor and drama all wrapped into one package.

This is what makes High Voltage unique.” said, Christopher Carter, creator of the High Voltage series.
