Mid Valley Trip with Roommate

Recently, I went to Mid Valley with my roommate as well as housemate.

We took ETS from the KTM station at Tanjong Malim. The price of the ticket was RM 10. At there, I bought the commuter card too.

With this card, you can purchase any commuter tickets at half price.

After taking ETS (super quick train) to KL Sentral, I have to sit a short distanced train to Mid Valley. The journey costs RM 1. It's a commuter. So, it costs only RM 0.50 if you use the card. The only disadvantage of the card - it's not a touch n go card. You have to line up at the counter, show them the card and then purchase via cash. It's a little troublesome in that sense.

To return from Mid Valley to Tanjong Malim...
I took commuter (RM 7.10 original price). It stopped at Rawang. Then, I have to transit to another commuter train to reach Tanjong Malim.

Mid Valley is kind of far if you compare it with Berjaya Times Square which is located at Bukit Bintang/Imbi area.

The reason why I went to Mid Valley is I want to eat Manhattan Fish Market food. I bought the voucher from Groupon. It costs RM 49 for a giant fried splatter set meal with drinks for 2 people.

Okay. Ignore the shadow at the background.
It's not a ghost.
Somebody just walked passed by.
Look at how big the main dish was!
It's crazily A LOT for 2 girls.

There's rice, fried tempura, fillet, wedges, fries, fried squids and a kind of fried vegey.

Here's my roommate Cai Ping with the giant pan.

The salad.
It tastes okay.
I'm not really a salad lover.
It's a complementary dish.

Mussels in mushroom/cheese cream soup.
It tastes good.

Here's the beverage.
They put orange syrup at the bottom and blue coloured 100+ on top.
Making the beverage has 2 layers look.

After mixing the orange syrup with the blue 100+, the beverage colour turns green.
Haha.. Cool huh?

They have this bread sticks as well.

Do you think it's a lot??

My roommate and I were so bloated after eating half of the food served.
We seriously couldn't stuff anymore food into our stomach.
Thus, we decided to call for take-away.
Hehe. And we manage to bring home 2 cups of tartar sauce.
It's delicious - sourish and mayonnaise taste.

This is how much left after our lunch.
We brought them home for dinner.

After lunch, we went to purchase Cai Ping's BESTA electronic dictionary. I personally am not fancy over this kind of gadget. The current price for a black-white version one costs around RM 300+

Coincidentally on that day, the MAC Cosmetics people are having a fair. I was excited and walked forward to ask what they are up to. Happily, I got myself rewarded with a nice make-over for that day. I felt instantly transformed into a princess. Bwahahaha--

I didn't wear this outfit to Mid Valley. It's a little too revealing. It's a dress that I simply took from Forever Young outlet. It doesn't look too good overall but not too bad if you're looking my top only. Haha. This is probably the best and the most efficient make-up done on me as I managed to gain more than 100+ likes on Facebook. *shy* *excited* Haha.. It's my first attempt to try smokey eyes make up. I think it suites me. It doesn't look very dark from the photo but in real, yes.

I wanted to purchase MAC cosmetics but it's seriously and crazily EXPENSIVE. A set which consists of 3 colours of eye shadow costs RM 160+. Though I'm a person who goes after branded items at times, I still think it's a little too costly to purchase without thinking twice. = / However, the quality of the eye shadow is definitely better than those cheap ones which drop off very quickly.

Also, I got a free moisturizer sample after the make-up session.
How nice.
Lol. I really love this kind of freebies.

I bought 3 packets of planet popcorns -
Chocolate, Kimmy-G and cheese flavoured.
Then, I get 1 free small packet of caramel flavoured popcorn.

There's an IT fair on that day too. It's the final day. As expected, there was a huge crowd at the exhibition center. Everybody was like pushing me and the place was really congested with people. I felt suffocated walking inside. It felt like walking in a puzzled castle.

I bought a laptop bag for myself.
Targus.
I saw this brand online for several times but I didn't purchase it.
It comes together with a mouse as complementary gift.
RM 99.
I chose Targus under some friends' recommendation.
Also, it's because it has lifetime warranty.

I also went to Sin Ma and purchased a new hairband.
I took a long time to choose the colour which best suites my current hair colour - brown/red.
I picked dark brown.
It doesn't look too obvious here because I snapped this photo in my dark room.

Also, I bought the nail polish of my favourite colour - Thulian Pink (10) from Elianto.
I always wanted to buy this after I saw Lay Cheng's fingernails.
Hahaha..
It looks good on my fingernails too but I didn't snap photo to show here.

I went to The Face Shop to stock up my facial stuff.
Those small packets are freebies.
Hahaha..
I'm so happy. I got so many just by saying 1-2 sentences to the salesgirl.
That's why, bargain is necessarily and an essential living skill to gain benefits as a consumer.
Everything in the photo shown above costs only RM 160+
I can use them up to 1 year +

A better look at the freebies I earned by some sweet-talking skill.

This little cow keychain is given by my housemate Mei Lian.
It's such a cute mowie--
I love it.

I guess that is all for now.

  1. Have you ever thought about including a little bit more than
just your articles? I mean, what you say is important and everything.
Nevertheless think of if you added some great photos or videos to
give your posts more, "pop"! Your content is
excellent but with pics and video clips, this blog could undeniably be one
of the most beneficial in its niche. Excellent blog!
