Spring Publisher

Advertorial

Being an experienced freelance graphic designer, I have no problem at all in designing any business purpose graphics such as banners, headers and business cards using Photoshop. To be able to navigate this advanced software, one needs to invest a good amount of time and effort in learning the basics and tricks. What if you are just a beginner who is on a tight budget to hire anybody to do these works for you? You probably want to start making your own graphics. Again, if you are inexperienced, you will be wasting lots and lots of time experimenting how to use those high-tech software and in the end get yourself a simple yet ordinary looking graphic which may not be up to standard with the others. Hereby, I’m introducing you a great software which can help you to make business purpose graphics easily without having to spend time learning how to use the software itself. It is really just that simple to navigate it.

It’s called the Spring Publisher. Below are the specification details:

My Experience and Review:
Being a person who is used to Photoshop, this software obviously looks very much simpler and easier to navigate. I am experienced in layers and graphic design techniques. All I need to learn next is just to navigate this software. Seriously, this is a very simple software to be used for all ages. You do not need to worry that you will get yourself lost somewhere else while you are using. It is just so simple because it is all guided step-by-step. For example, after you install the software, you know that you need to open the desktop icon of the software. Then, three buttons will pop out in the screen: “Create a blank project”, “Template library” and “Open a project file”.

Let’s say I want to create a business card for I am a realty agent. All you need to do is just to click Template Library button. Then, under the Industry drop down menu, click Real Estate. There is only one option of a blue coloured business card template. Click that and ta-dah the business card template is out. It’s all there with designs and stuff. The next thing that you need to do is to fill in your particulars. Do you know how easy it is to type in? You just need to double click on the column that you want to edit and type in the information. A pop-out window will appear after you double click it. After you are done, click ‘OK’. It is not only that, you can always freely move about the elements to whichever position you like. Maybe let’s say you don’t like your name to be on the right hand side of the business card. You can always move it easily with your mouse to the left. After you are done “designing” your business card, click Save As Image. The disadvantage of a free version user is that you can only save it at the highest resolution of 180dpi.

All in all, this is a great software for beginners who are not good in learning advanced graphic programs. This is very easy to use but comes with some limitations if you are using the free version. I’d highly recommend this for its simplicity in navigation. However, it is not possible to compare the quality of work produced by using this software with Photoshop. After all, Photoshop is a special software meant for designers and advanced users. I’ll rate 7 out of 10 for this sophisticated software.
